Atomic Motion Systems is a brand name of Next Step Solutions, an engineering design and manufacturing company based in Southampton, UK. The first simulator prototype, the 'A1', was launched in August 2010 at the Gamescom Show in Cologne. With some 200 gamers trialling the seat with the Dirt rally game, it was clear that robustness and slick design would be key to optimising the simulator to the rigours of commercial use.
Thus the ‘A2’ was launched in May 2011, with global sales to a diverse range of commercial and home users. Further design improvements followed, which culminated with the release of the ‘A3’ to the market in 2013.
