General information

Colloidal Silver is a mineral solution that uses the natural antibacterial properties of silver. Silver has been used for at least six millennia to prevent microbial infections. It has been effective against almost all organisms tested and has been used to treat numerous infections and noninfectious conditions, sometimes with striking success. Silver also has played an important role in the development of radiology and in improving wound healing & was the most important antimicrobial agent available before the introduction of antibiotics. Silver first gained regulatory approval for use as an antimicrobial agent in the early 20th century and was used extensively until the discovery of antibiotics. Today, antibiotic resistance has caused a resurgence into the research of silver products and many hospitals have already introduced various silver products to help combat the spread of infections and is again being looked at as a credible alternative due to its natural antibacterial properties.
