"Throw It Up" is a project launched in January 2016 by East Recordings and Brick Lane Radio.

Our crew run bi-monthly club nights in the best venues in East London. Previous parties have been held at Trapeze, 93 Feet East, Bedroom Bar and unique ad hoc spaces like an Hoxton Basement & Shoreditch Platform.

***OUR STORY***

Circa 2013 the TiU journey began when 3 Pointblank Music School students brought the freshest local and international DJs to our attention by setting up Brick Lane Radio station.

Then in 2015 East Recordings was born out of Brick Lane Radio, again, to showcase new local talent with a smattering of established international artists. 30 releases in, 22 chart hits on Traxsource & Juno - we've grown rapidly and the next step is to crack Beatport in 2017.

2016 saw the last piece of the jigsaw put in place: a vital arm of any label is a club night, and Throw It Up is ours! With 8 successful events to date our intentions for 2017 are to make the three elements (label, club and radio) cohesive in terms of sound so people know what they will get from the TiU brand. When East Recordings was initially created the release schedule was eclectic and quite house-focused, but our sound has become geared up towards underground tech-house and the more musical, spacey UK techno sound (vs. the stripped back Berlin sound).
