General information

As with all learning, studying martial arts will be a unique process for each individual. For this reason all sessions are delivered to meet the specific needs of students. Many students prefer to have one to one tuition, where their learning is more advanced and they progress at their own pace.
Other students prefer to learn in small groups, which suits their leaning style well.
Gary Gregory, the head of the style, or one of the academy's dedicated instructors, will discuss this with you at your free introductory lesson and the best format for you will be explored.

Budo Karate - Within Budo Karate you will learn a discipline that teaches you to control the body and develop techniques to combat all forms of attack.
Based on a linear and circular format, which enhances the body's natural strength and attacks your opponents weaknesses.
Budo karate is based on the mental and physical atributes of the
`seven animals of mankind'.
You will learn multiple defense formats and by practice you will reach the point where it becomes a natural instinct.

Aikido Te -Aikido-Te is a style of martial arts that stems from its roots in the art of the Japanese sword.
It combines locks and strikes for a form of self defence which uses the attackers weight and weakness to your advantage.

Street Defense & Modern Combat - Modern combat is a style that teaches you effectivedefence against all common
forms of assault. This is a particularly valuable form of defence for today's
increasingly violent society.Paramount to the training are these 3 key areas
* Anti-victim Psychology
* Awareness of Surroundings
* Confidence in your abilities to defend yourself
* Knife & Gun Defense

Oriental Weapons - The Budo Foundation offers many forms of Oriental Weapons
training, including,
the Katana (the most popular)
Bo, Jo, Bokken and Nunchakas.
