Who is B-ROW?

B-ROW: Rowing and Canoeing in Birmingham is a new group set up to develop both indoor and outdoor rowing and canoeing in schools, colleges, community groups, universities and open land and water spaces in Birmingham. The group is supported by funding from British Rowing, British Canoeing, Sport Birmingham, Sportivate, Satellite Club funding and University of Birmingham.

What does B-ROW Offer?

• Access to paid qualified coaching support to indoor rowing and canoeing sessions in schools, colleges and universities. This includes joint 'Watersports Fit' sessions.
• Junior Rowing Leader and Wireless Canoeing Leader awards.
•Access to indoor rowing and canoeing satellite clubs across the city.
• Support towards teacher training in indoor rowing and canoeing in schools.
• Access to FREE WATER TASTER
SESSIONS at Edgbaston Reservoir, Bartley Reservoir and Powell's Pool, Sutton Coldfield.
• Learn to Row and Go Canoeing courses including summer camps at Edgbaston, Bartley and Sutton.
• Support towards outdoor rowing and canoeing education for teachers/ volunteers and coaches.
• A link to the local clubs in the Birmingham
and West Midlands area.
• Sportivate paid sessions to be delivered by a B-ROW Head coach.
• Cheap Indoor Rowing and Kayak machine maintenance for all establishments.
• British Rowing and British Canoeing support towards key participation targets including developing access to the sports in local park spaces.
• On-water splash and dash schools regatta, Indoor rowing championships and online Indoor challenges.
