Built in 1825 for artisans, William Street is a charming cobbled street of well preserved Georgian shopfronts. Because of its historic character, the street is regularly used as a location for period films. Today you will find a good mix of independent boutiques, cafes and gastro pubs, not forgetting Teuchters with it's extensive whisky selection and restaurant.

Whether arriving by car, train or air, this holiday apartment is easy to find. Just a 12 minute walk or short taxi journey from Waverley train station and an approximately 6 minute walk from Haymarket train station. The West End tram stop at Coates Crescent is just around the corner, which serves the airport and takes you to the East End; and just two minutes away is the airport bus stop. William Street is so central you really can get across Edinburgh with ease. We are on the edge of the New Town, a 10 minute walk to arty Stockbridge and it's famous Sunday farmers market. Close to all the galleries and museums, including the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and a stones throw from Princes Street, Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and the old town Grassmarket.
