General information

As as pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to know exactly who you are leaving in charge of your beloved friends. So here's a little about me.

I'm a mum to a little girl, a Rottweiler and a Cockapoo, and I am at my happiest wearing my wellies rambling around the countryside. I've wanted to make a career out of working with animals for as long as I can remember. I've always been that person that would bring in injured birds and nurse them back to health, or who would catch a mouse and drive miles to the nearest forest to set it free.

However it was when I adopted my Rottweiler a few years ago that I started taking steps that would lead me to my new career. Unfortunately, due to his past, he had all sorts of issues with dogs and people which led me to taking a certificate in dog behaviour and psychology to help understand him a little better. Not long after this we found a fantastic dog behaviourist who also happened to be looking for dog training assistants, and I jumped at the chance to join her team.

Once I had the taste for working with animals I knew I had to do it full time and so Furry Poppins Pet Care began.

Over the years I have built up my experience with dogs, cats, small furries and poultry and have worked with many others like farm animals and reptiles. I feel really lucky to be surrounded by so many animals every day and can't imagine doing anything else.

I am fully insured to carry out all the services you can see on my website and I also hold a certificate in pet first aid so you can be confident your loved one is in safe hands.
