Chesfield Manor Stables run by Emily Sandford is set in a little hamlet with plenty of open space.
Chesfield started as a riding school many many years ago and gradually turned into livery stables. Chesfield Manor Stables is a professionally run yard with a calm atmosphere. It has a family feel to it without the chaos.

It has 26 loose boxes and various facilities such as Indoor School, Outdoor school, Mini X-Country course and a horse walker. Where it is situated in the countryside also means it has miles of road and off road hacking.

We offer Full Livery, Part Livery, Competition Livery, or Assisted DIY livery services. All livery owners have the choice of extra services on an ‘as and when required’ basis. CMS is host to Stevenage and District riding club and Puckeridge Western Pony Club. They both run unaffiliated events, rallies and clinics. Using their wealth of knowledge they are always willing to help their member’s progress and develop. We also have the RDA using our facilities during term time, volunteers are always welcome!!!

We also offer our own clinics and training days with a variety of trainers, we welcome all abilities from those starting out just wanting to pop away from home to top level competition riders. Look out for dates and schedules.

Emily Sandford the manager of CMS has been involved with Chesfield for many years. Emily grew up in the farm house on site which her parents own, therefore has seen the establishment change and develop over the last 19 years.

It has always been an aim for Emily to run the yard and have her own little team of horses to go out and compete. Now with a family of her own as well she has made sure she has the best support team on the yard to keep the show going all year round.
