Loreburn Archers (Indoors) Company Information
General information
The club was originally formed back in 1950’s and is first and foremost a Target Archery club.
Some of the club’s members have gone on to represent Scotland internationally as well as Great Britain in the Paralympics. Archery is a sport that is open to all irrespective of abilities and age. We encourage anyone and everyone to come along and have a shot.
The club practices indoors at St Josephs College Sports Hall and in the summer we practice outdoors at the Crichton Playing Field.
The club runs a beginners course each October of which the first night is free, followed by 5 sessions over the successive weeks for which charge a small fee.
Each November the clubs runs an open indoor competition attracting up to 80 archers from all over Scotland and Northern England.
Loreburn Archers also run a number of ‘Come and Tries’ at local Gala days during the summer season which introduce Archery to a wider audience as well as raising much needed funds for the club.
