General information
In 1931 Mahatma Gandhi visited England he chose to stay at Kingsley Hall, to “be among the same sort of people as those to whom I have devoted my life.” He lived for twelve weeks in one of the rooftop cells.
Since its restoration and re-opening in 1985, Kingsley Hall has developed as a thriving Community Centre, with many public events and regular activities providing a wide range of community services.
The three halls are regularly booked for parties, weddings, meetings and seminars. User Groups running activities in the building include:
