General information

The birth classes are for individuals or couples who want to be prepared for childbirth and the early days following birth.
One class is held every second Saturday of the month at Archway House in Market Harborough.
The class is run by an experienced midwife with a passion for active, physiological birth.
The classes include: informed choice around place of birth and types of care, early labour and coping techniques, recognizing established labour, natural pain-relief and hospital-based pain relief options, activity and mobility in labour, optimal positioning, partner support, second and third stages and breastfeeding. The first few days are also discussed and everything covered is adapted to each groups' needs and wants.
Holistic therapies - Aromatherapy (bespoke balms and massage) Reflexology and Indian Head Massage are offered to anyone, particularly maternity-focused.
Rewind Therapy sessions for birth trauma and PTSD for anyone affected by anxiety or stress around childbirth.
Crystals are offered to amplify the positive effects of all holistic sessions.
