#ReeferRevolution is for the legalisation and decriminalization of cannabis across the world for medicinal, recreational and industrial purposes.

First and foremost cannabis, marijuana, weed, whatever you call it, needs to be legalized for medical purposes! This will make it easier for researches to find new ways of using cannabinoids to treat illnesses, while allowing Doctors to prescribe tried and tested medicines that are currently banned from use in many countries around the world in favour of more harmful, more expensive and less effective alternatives. This is needed to both alleviate and cure the symptoms of many patients around the world currently suffering with a wide range of conditions including cancer, AIDS, MS, diabetes, epilepsy and many more. Secondly hemp must become easier to grow across the globe if we are to develop an environmentally stable economy. It has the potential to provide us with a new source of renewable fuel, innovative and sustainable building materials while also consuming more carbon dioxide than trees in their bid for rapid and seasonal growth!

Thirdly we must make pot legal for recreational use. John Stuart MIll sum's up the moral argument beautifully,

"The only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilised community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others. His own good, either physical or moral, is not a sufficient warrant….Over himself, over his own body and mind, the individual is sovereign."

Add to this the abundant and damning scientific evidence of the low risk of cannabis consumption when compared next to other commonly consumed 'legal highs' such as alcohol, tobacco and even caffeine, and to not completely remove cannabis/marijuana/weed from the controlled substances list on a global scale becomes beyond immoral, it becomes utterly stupid.
