General information

Therapeutic Touch incorporates three powerful treatment modalities: Cranio Sacral Therapy, Shiatsu and Reiki.

In Cranio Sacral Therapy, the practitioner uses gentle touch to help improve the alignment, fuctioning and movements of the bones, membranes and fluids surrounding the brain and spinal cord (or central nervous system) - the vitally-important 'control system' for the whole body. Using gentle techniques that reactiveate and work alongside the body's natural self-correcting ability, Cranio-Sacral Therapy enables the client's body (and subconsious mind) to release any physical, emotional or energetic blockages that may have become 'stored' in the body's tissues (or cellular memory), enabling the client to once more return to a state of health, ease and balance.

Shiatsu is a form of Japanese acupressure, which begins with a diagnosis to ascertain any areas of energetic imbalance, which may be causing symptoms. Next, the practitioner applies gentle pressure, stretches and gentle manipulation to the whole body, in order to rebalance the energy systems of the body, release tension and alleviate pain, realign the musculo-skeletal system and induce deep relaxation - thus reestablish optimum health and wellbeing.

Reiki is based on the principle that, at the deepest level, human beings are comprised of energy. Any symptoms or disharmony in our body can be traced back to an underlying imbalance in our energy field. Reiki is a form of hands-on energy healing, whereby the practitioner uses gentle touch to channel universal healing energy into the person's body, helping to balance and regulate their whole energy system, and alleviate related pain, symptoms and illness.
