Margate Vocal Studio offers the grounding in technique, theory and performance but has a unique and modern approach towards vocal coaching. Both the 5-20-5 lesson (geared towards children and young adults) and the 60 minute lesson use modern exercise methods to develop the voice in an interactive, fun and structured way.

Whether you are an aspiring artist wanting to break into the industry, someone who has a love of music that would like to learn more, or someone wishing to move through their grades. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s personal goals.

Hughie is a vocalist, songwriter and vocal coach based in Margate Kent. He signed to Downtown Music Publishing in 2016 and works extensively in Europe with international artists such as Sonny Alven, Julian Jordan, Hardwell, Third Party, Dusk till Dawn and Laidback Luke. His unique voice makes him in demand as a featured vocalist. As a performer and writer his work has been released by major labels worldwide. Racking up millions of streams in the last year alone. Hughie was born into a musical family, his father is internationally acclaimed opera singer Julian Gavin. He first studied music under his grandmother, composer Val Gavin and was later classically trained as a choral scholar at the London Oratory School. He studied at University College London.
