For those new to the world of driving, getting behind the wheel for the first time can be a daunting experience. But, taking your first steps towards getting your driving licence is also highly exciting and rewarding. Learning to drive offers new found freedoms and opportunities – for many people, it is life changing!

Before you can begin your driving lessons with me, you will need to be 17 or older, be able to read an old style number plate at a distance of 20.5 metres or 20 metres if the new-style number plate is used. ( New-style number plates are easily identifiable starting with two letters. eg AB 51 ABC ) You must also hold a valid provisional driving licence. This can be applied for, using a completed D1 form obtainable from the Post Office, and then sent to the DVLA with your passport or birth certificate, and 2 passport-sized photos as ID.

Disability living allowance - If you are receiving disability living allowance at the higher rate, your provisional licence will come into effect when you are 16. You can apply for it within three months of your 16th birthday.

At Kudos Driving, we can tailor our service to suit your personal needs…Whether it is one-to-one training for beginners, right through to advanced lessons for qualified drivers; we pride our self on delivering superb quality driving lessons. Applications / bookings for younger learners can be made two - three months before their 17th birthday and the 1st lessons can even be booked for that magic day!
