Love Enigma Training Academy launched back in 2014, offering tuition with a holistic approach to make up artistry. Our founder and training director, Kirsty Walker, felt that although there were many great training providers, they weren’t offering courses that included ingredient safety training or in-depth skincare knowledge.

Having an extensive background in the world of beauty, aesthetics, skincare and makeup artistry, Kirsty wanted to offer superior training that gave more than just the practical application of makeup.

“Beauty and makeup services are so much more than just about what goes on the surface. I believe in offering unparalleled customer service while also looking after my clients and students wellbeing. The cosmetic and makeup industry is still rife for using harmful and dirty ingredients and at Love Enigma we ensure our students are educated on not only how to best serve their clients, but also how to look after them inside and out.”

As well as having a strict toxin free ingredient policy, we are a training company with heart using only professional 100% cruelty-free and vegan cosmetics. Crushed insects, animal fats and shark liver have no place in our cosmetics, nor does the unacceptable practice of testing on animals for cosmetic purposes.

Our professional courses are a combination of theory and practical study to provide you with a well-rounded education. To get the most out of your learning, practical work is carried out on models so that all your time is spent on learning rather than modeling for the other students. We will have a variety of skin types, ages and face shapes for you to work with so you have experience with multiple client types.

For those looking to brush up on your personal skills, we offer masterclasses and bespoke makeup artistry events throughout the year. You can come along to our demo-led classes, learn from our industry experts and then enjoy practicing your newly learned abilities in a hands-on class.

Taught in our Glasgow City Centre studios, we are BIG on FUN! Our experienced trainers will bring you the best in tuition along with laughs along the way because we believe learning should be enjoyable. Although there is no end of class exam, you will be assessed as you go along to ensure you have the skills and knowledge for success. We keep classes small to ensure plenty of time for one to one critique and hands-on help.

After you qualify you will be able to start building your portfolio and experience to enable you to start your make up career. We also cover business and marketing modules to give you a head start in your new venture. Following your course we will also have various industry opportunities to gain additional experiences, as well as open nights and exclusive VIP graduate events.
