Meditation Classes For Busy People: Every 2nd&4th Tuesday, 7:00 - 8:00pm Company Information

General information

Gentle hugs and welcome, I’m Ntathu Allen, from London, UK. I help busy women find ways to relax and find some inner peace, so you feel better, healthier and have more energy to enjoy doing the things you love.

Remember that mum who was always rushing around, trying to fit it all in, worrying about work at home and worrying about her family when at work; no time for rest or have a social life, caring for everyone else yet no time to breathe and look after herself?

That was me! I have always been ambitious, focus-driven and a bit of a “control-freak.”

When my 3 daughters were younger, I was a very hands-on mum and really enjoy being a mum. Trying to stay in contact with family and my girlfriends and fit in my demanding job as a Probation Officer, supervising young offenders, you can imagine how exhausted, run-down and tired I felt trying to fit everything in.

How I Got Into Yoga And Meditation

I first experienced yoga in 1991, when pregnant with my eldest daughter. My midwife was concerned about my health as I was stressed and exhausted from working, as a full-time Probation Officer, in a challenging inner city borough of London. She recommended I take up yoga and learn how to relax. But I was too busy to go to classes so I brought a couple of books and a relaxation tape but didn’t do much until I was on maternity leave and started ante-natal classes to learn “how to relax”.

My eldest daughter was born in 1991 and in 1993, I had twin daughters.

With 3 children under the age of 2.5 years, life became a blur of activity.

A relentless whirlwind of working, advancing up the career ladder, caring for my family and trying to cope with the after – effects of a miscarriage (1992) and the sudden loss of my closest cousin (1995) and dear brother (1997).

I was burnt-out.

I couldn’t carry-on mindlessly rushing around, putting out fires and having no time, space or energy to breathe, let alone think!

To cut a long story short… through a chain of events

In 2000, I participated in an intense 12 months Personal and Spiritual Development Course, which included daily yoga and meditation practice.

In March 2003, I followed a yearning deep inside for “change” and travelled to Kerala in India, for six weeks, to train as a Sivananda Yoga Teacher. This meant leaving my young daughters behind, with my husband for six weeks.

Fast forward to the present day.

I resigned from the Probation Service in 2004 and here I am, divorced, a flourishing author, yoga and meditation teacher running my own business teaching and helping super-busy women, mainly over 50 years old, who are stressed-out and want to live a calm, healthy and happy life, find ways to relax, find some inner peace and feel better – – so you can stop rushing around, feeling overwhelmed and start to embrace and enjoy a more positive, productive and peaceful day (even if you are swamped with work!) Thanks for popping by and I look forward to getting to know you and share this wonderful journey of life!Namaste and hugs
