The Independent Centre for Actor Training is a professional actor training institute based in the Northwest and led by international award winning artists (please see our Biography page), providing first class teaching to those with full time working commitments.

Taking place all day Saturdays and two evenings a week, the course provides over 600 hours of contact time with superb tutors over a two year period (6 terms). Students will be trained in voice, movement, Improvisation, Shakespeare, Character studies, Screen acting, Stanislavski and much more. The course culminates in a production and showcase in front of agents, casting directors and other industry guests. All of our tutors are current Industry professionals, many of whom work with some of the worlds leading film and theatre companies, directors and writers. This gives them the opportunity to share with you on a weekly basis what they apply to their own working life. As they learn, so will you!

With the government introducing £9000 a year fee's to study at Degree level leaving most Drama School graduates at least £30,000 in debt upon graduation, Independent offers an entirely affordable and realistic way of training for a career in a wonderful but already competitive arena.

Independent allows adults of any age to continue working full time and receive world class tuition.
