My Montessori School (Nursery)

General information

We are two successful entrepreneurs who are very passionate about our children’s education. Having known each other for years, we caught ourselves constantly talking about children’s development, psychology and developing a growth mindset. Little by little we started to dream of creating a school like no other – a place where all children are nurtured and loved, where their individuality and personality are respected and they are not ‘pushed’ to be different or to comply.
A place, where joy is in the air and love for learning is developed internally.
A place, where all the teachers are calm, peaceful, in love with what they do and with deep understanding of the children’s soul.
A place where children feel the freedom to be who they are and where they are surrounded by order, harmony and beauty.

We made this place happen! My Montessori School is our dream turned to reality.
Who are we?

Kremena is a Montessori Teacher and the mum of Theia (7y). She was running her own successful financial service business when Theia was born. Around that time she developed a deep desire to learn more about health, wellbeing and children’s psychology. She also didn’t have a good experience with nurseries. As a busy mum entrepreneur with long working hours, she sent Theia to a full time nursery and didn’t like what she experienced. She moved Theia three times form one place to another hoping to find an educational approach that would click with her personal philosophy of early childhood upbringing. She became very interested in the Montessori educational approach and she quickly realized she had found her vocation. Kremena studied and qualified as a Montessori trained teacher and opened her first Montessori daycare in 2015.

Didi is an entrepreneur, a psychologist and a mum of Mika – a three year old boy. She worked as a finance manager in the London City for many years, while retaining her interest and training in psychology and personal development. Once she had Mika and started to explore options for his education, she was disappointed with what she found. She read more and more about the different educational methods and started to train as a teacher wanting to know more. Last year, during one of her usual conversations with Kremena about teaching, brain development, providing a nurturing and challenging environment and keeping a positive language at home, Didi and Kremena finally decided to stop dreaming, and start Didi and Kremena finally decided to stop dreaming, and start working on creating a place like no other…

This is how My Montessori School was born.

We (Didi & Kremena) are very proud of what we have built. Our main focus in the classroom is the Montessori way of learning, however, we are looking to incorporate aspects of other children’s development theories from around the world (e.g. Steiner/Waldorf, Reggio Emilia, Best Practice Outdoor and Sensory Play).
