Finally I'm starting my own business, - designing and making little girls dresses. Inspired by my granddaughter Elsie Mae, my auntie Elsie who I watched sewing as a child and was amazed and my mother Ruth Kimuyu - who was know as 'Kit' to her family. My designs are simply, classic, practical with a little twist. Designs will appear soon .... watch this space
I have been sewing since I was a child making my first clothes aged 9 and 10 years, wearing them at junior school. I trained as a dress designer after leaving school and have run 2 small childrens clothes businesses. My inspiration comes from the fabrics I use and my love of colour. My designs come alive through the fabrics and I love the classic lines, which never go out of fashion. In addition, I love to use some of the old technics such as Smocking. Dresses your little girls can wear for those special occasions and everyday.
