Club Petit Pierrot - Fun French For Children

Club Petit Pierrot is London’s Premier French club and offers fun and stimulating French lessons for children from 8 months old to 8 years old. We now have groups in Chelsea, Putney, Notting Hill, Swiss Cottage and St John’s Wood/Maida Vale. We teach our programme in numerous prestigious schools and we can also organise private tuition at your home.

What sets Club Petit Pierrot apart is that we have a small carefully hand-picked team of dynamic, dedicated and experienced native French teachers (all CRB checked) who are extremely caring and passionate about teaching French to young children. They are all trained specifically to teach children following “the immersion method”, with an emphasis always on the children having fun and learning French effortlessly.

We offer Les ateliers des petits (Parent & Toddler groups) and Les leçons des grands (drop-off classes from 3 years old upwards). Our lessons are totally in French (“the immersion method”). Young children have the ability to absorb a language easily, as they show learning their mother tongue. Through a similar learning process, they learn French effortlessly and acquire a good accent. Indeed language experts agree, that learning a second language early in life enhances overall cognitive skills and improves brain development. Studies have shown repeatedly that foreign language learning increases critical thinking skills, creativity, problem-solving skills and flexibility of mind in young children. So you are never too young to start learning a second language.

Our Parent & Toddler groups start from as young as 8 months old and in our clubs we teach children up to 8 years old. In a happy atmosphere French is taught to small groups of children through play, using a wide variety of our stimulating language activities. Club Petit Pierrot has devised a programme to suit all the different age groups. Each term’s project has clear linguistic objectives, and the lessons have a structured routine, which allows the children to feel at ease, and become more and more confident when communicating in French. The emphasis is very much on having fun. The children learn at their own pace, interacting in French the whole time with our fun, caring and experienced teachers.

If you are unable to come to us, then we can come to you! Club Petit Pierrot also offers private tuition at your home, whether for one child or a mini-group of children. Our teachers are qualified to work with students of all different ages and levels, even adults too.
