General information

Scarabeus Aerial Theatre is one of the foremost aerial theatre companies in the UK, bringing large-scale, site-responsive productions to the public for over 20 years. We create original and dynamic performance pieces, stimulating education programmes and high quality corporate entertainment.

Previous performances created for unusual indoors (and outdoors) locations include work commisioned by the Greenwich and Docklands festival, the Natural History Museum London, the British Museum, the British Library, Norman Foster's City Hall, Latitude Festival,
China's Formula 1 opening celebrations in Beijing, the Olympic Torch Relay in London, the Russian Embassy in Shanghai,the Sierra do Cipo' in Brazil, and a giant satellite dish in Trinidad.

We have also made a commitment to community work, and currently run the very successful 'Airborne Families' programme throughout schools in the borough of Islington. The programme aims to not only improve overall fitness and health levels amongst participants, but to also strengthen bonds between families, using a blend of yoga, theatre and aerial techniques.
