What is Reiki?

Reiki is healing in its truest sense. It is a healing system that is a safe, natural and holistic way of treating many acute and chronic conditions and bringing about spiritual, mental and emotional wellbeing. Reiki can be effective with physical, emotional, psychological and behavioural problems helping to bring relief from the effects of pain and suffering. Reiki is suitable for everyone including the very young and the elderly. It is also a great tonic if you are in good health as it will help you stay that way!

When a Reiki practitioner channels this life energy through their hands to the recipient, it activates the body’s natural ability to heal itself.The recipient lies on a treatment table fully clothed and the practitioner lay’s their hands in a series of hand positions on the head, torso, legs and arms sometimes hovering rather than touching. Each hand position is held for a few minutes whilst energy called “chi” is channelled through the practitioner into the recipient.You will feel deep relaxation, heat from the practitioner’s hands and possibly experience tingling or floating.Everyone is different.Reiki works effectively alongside orthodox healthcare and natural remedies, expanding your treatment options.

I believe in healing the body holistically rather than just healing the symptom. Because of this if you choose to have a massage treatment Reiki automatically flows through my hands so you have the benefits of receiving Reiki during your treatment. I work along the meridian lines in the body ensuring any blockages are cleared so energy can flow freely from one organ to another to maintain and promote good health. If you choose to have an Aromatherapy Massage, specific oils are selected for you to further enhance the effects of the healing process. Each treatment includes a full consultation to meet your individual needs. I will also incorporate the the use of crystals during a massage treatment either placing them under the bed or placing them around the body on the treatment couch. You will receive a short Angel health card reading for advice on how best to look after yourself with health tips to encourage you to be in control of your own healing when you leave.

I am a qualified practitioner and teacher who can attune others to Reiki up to and including the level of Reiki master/teacher level. I also teach Karuna Reiki, Crystal Healing, run psychic development courses and classes including teaching how to read the tarot cards and I pass on the Munay Ki rites.
