Here at Ilchester Dog Grooming Salon we offer a range of grooming services, for every dogs needs from a simple nail clip to a full groom to your desired trim or to breed standard. I will always groom to what YOU want.

My name is Michelle, I am the owner of Ilchester Dog grooming salon. Grooming is not only my profession but my passion. I have three lovely dogs of my own a Cavalier King Charles called Alfie, a Papillion cross called shadow and the newest addition Rory a Gordon setter cross cocker spaniel. All of which need regular grooming and care to maintain their coats, this is something I would like to be able to pass on to my clients.

I trained at Canine design academy of grooming which won one of the top three businesses in the 2009 UK Pet Industry Awards, where I received a distinction for my city and guilds.
I also have a B.A in canine life and social skills, along with my other qualifications I also hold a certificate on Pet first aid and a certificate in dog care.

Since I was a child I have always had a great interest in dogs, at any given chance I would be playing or walking with family and friends dogs. At the age of 12 my heart was won over by a blind and deaf cocker spaniel, from there on out I loved dogs and I have never looked back. I never thought as I got older that I could use my love of dogs in anyway, until I became a dog groomer. Not only do I get to spend time with a huge variety of different breeds, but I get to make them feel great and look better.

I have thirst for knowledge when it comes to dogs, and I am always searching more and more techniques in the ever so changing world of dog grooming. I also regularly attend seminars and grooming events.
