Warrington Town were formed in 1949 as Stockton Heath Albion later changing to Warrington Town in 1961.
Warrington's most famous players of the past include Ian Weir (Scotland & Hibernian), John Green (Tranmere Rovers), Alan Foster (Crewe Alexandra) and Roger Hunt who went on to score many memorable goals for Liverpool and gained the ultimate honour of winning a world cup winners medal with England in 1966.
The Yellows are currently playing the the Evo-Stik NPL Premier League (Northern Premier League).
