General information
The Old Hall was built in 1942 as a timber structure, this grade 1 listed building is one of only four remaining aisled manors in the county. The main hall has a plastered ceiling that dates back to 1640. Between 1742-1752 Joseph Priestly (discoverer of oxygen) Spent his childhood living here.
The Old Hall is part of the Samuel Smiths Brewery, All Samuel Smith’s beers are brewed solely from authentic natural ingredients without any chemical additives, raw material adjuncts, artificial sweeteners, colourings, flavourings or preservatives.
