General information

Evolution Recording Studios is a 1000sq foot High End Recording, Mixing and Tracking facility in Oxford, featuring at it’s heart a beautifully refurbished Trident Series 80B console. The desk sounds fantastic and is probably the finest example in the UK.

The Spacious Control Room benefits from natural light with views across fields to North Hinksey. Acoustically balanced to sound just right. Not totally dead like to many studios I’ve experienced.

The live rooms have real oak floors there are three separation booths and a vocal booth, The main live room is completely acoustically controllable with baffles, Vicoustic panels, heavy velvet curtains and an Indian sandstone wall. Acoustically it can range from a live rock drum sound to a room dead enough for voice over work. A headphone system capable of 8 separate mixes means everyone hears what they want.

As well as a brand new Bantam patch bay we have some great outboard gear, including Mic Preamps , Compressors , Channel Strips and FX units from Universal Audio, SSL, TL Audio, 1960’s BBC, Lexicon, TC Electronic Etc.
The Microphone locker includes an always expanding collection including ,Neumann, Sennheiser, Rode, Bayer, Sure, Elecro Voice Etc.

The main computer is an new extremely powerful 8 Core Mac Pro running latest versions of Pro Tools and Logic . There are a huge selection of Plug-in’s from Universal Audio, Waves, Lexicon, EMI , Melodyne etc. Software also includes East West’s Platinum symphonic Orchestra and Minimonsta.

There is large chill out lounge with sofa bed, 47 inch HD TV / Dynaudio Sound System, games console Ect
