Friends of Halstead Public Gardens are once again hosting a Traditional May Day Celebration on Monday 1st May 2017, from 2pm - 4.30pm in Halstead Public Gardens.
This year's theme is all things Roald Dahl.
primary school aged children are invited to dress up in Roald Dahl themed costumes to enter the fancy dress parade.
Local clubs and organisations are invited to run stalls, raising the profile and perhaps funds for their organisation. As this is a family day out we hope the stalls will be interactive, opportunities for family members to learn new skills, create and play!
The afternoon will be interspersed with May Pole dancing performed by local primary schools on the dancing green and live music performed on the band stand.
