April Cottage Cattery

General information

April Cottage Cattery is finally opening in March at last! We have been building since August last year and after many hiccups, red tape, mis-measures and various other problems we will be ready to receive our first feline guest very soon. Actual opening date to be advised.

We are really looking forward to it as it is something we have wanted to do for some time now.

We have had cats for over 30 years and also been involved with cat rescue and re-homing, so we are not just a business, we genuinely do love cats and want to provide a "home from home" atmosphere for them during their stay.

When Kevin and I designed our cattery we wanted to ensure that our feline guests would not feel confined in a cage for 2 weeks so we endeavoured to create a large, light and airy chalet with views to the outside and across the cattery as well as fully insulated and heated sleeping areas that are warm in winter but cool in summer.

We also have chalets for the more nervous shy cats that require more peace and quiet. There are 4 extra large chalets that will cater for up to 5 cats (same household only), also some of our chalets have low level shelving for the older or very young cat making it easier for them to reach their beds (although bedding will also be put on the floor for them).

Grooming and administering of medicine are free of charge.

We also offer a pick up and delivery service, the first 5 miles are free with £1 per mile thereafter.
