General information

The original Strathearn floor dates back to 2003. In the process of restoring our 180-year old cottage we discovered it was almost impossible to find high quality natural flooring in Scotland.

Eventually we tracked down authentic flagstones and beautiful aged oak floorboards in France. We transported our precious cargo back to Perthshire and fitted our first stunning floors. Then, thinking nothing of it, we advertised our spare wood and stone for sale. The response was incredible. And from that small beginning the idea for Strathearn began to take shape.

In the early days we were literally a cottage industry, doing everything from our beautifully floored home. Today we stock Scotland’s largest selection of natural wood and stone products. Our distinctive floors are at home everywhere from historic castles to private houses and award winning commercial developments.

When you visit Strathearn in the lovely heritage village of Forteviot, you’ll find our exciting showrooms a far cry from the humble beginnings but just as welcoming and relaxed. Over and above everything, we are still a family-run business, dedicated to craftsmanship, sourcing unique products and working together with clients to create the most remarkable floors.
