Midsomer Norton Rugby Football Club

General information

Midsomer Norton Rugby Club Ltd was established in 1936 and is in its 80th of existence. It is now located on the outskirts of the town at Norton Down where it has three excellent pitches, a floodlit training area, clubhouse and large carpark.

The Club runs four adult teams, the First XV were recently promoted to their highest ever level and currently plays in South West 1 (west) league, while the Second XV are in Somerset 2 North and our Third XV compete in Somerset 2 South. A Fourth XV will have the opportunity to play selected social fixtures throughout the season

The Club also has a thriving Junior Section which has over 230 members and provides coaching, training and competitive games for boys and girls from 7 to 12 in its Mini Section on Sunday mornings.

There are also teams for each age group from U13s to U18s. Each October, the Club host a Festival for Minis when local teams are invited to play. MNRFC takes the welfare of children in its care very seriously, all age groups have RFU acredited coaches.

The Clubhouse has an excellent bar and social facilities which are available for hire. The club has wheel chair friendly access into the Clubroom and disabled toilets

The extensive playing fields and changing rooms have been used regularly for football tournaments, cross country running events, music events, fundays, weekend rallies and music festivals.
