The Hygieia System

Hygieia Cleaning Services is a sister company of Lodge Environmental Solutions and has been in the business of specialist cleaning for over 40 years.

The Hygieia system is designed to clean any type of floor surface or carpet to a spotless finish using the very latest technologically advanced cleaning machines, while at the same time taking extreme care to use only environmentally-friendly cleaning products.

We never use the harsh chemicals that some cleaning companies do: all of the products that we use are bio-degradable and green, yet result in floors and carpets that are cleaned to the highest standards in the industry.

Odour Removal

If a carpet has been cleaned using traditional wet cleaning methods and chemicals it can mean that it often takes a very long time to dry out. This is likely to lead to the growth of moulds and mildews which in turn can cause odours and lead to allergies and respiratory infections – especially in young children and the elderly.

Commercial air fresheners will to some extent mask the smell, but not eliminate the cause. The Hygieia system will get to the root of the problem and remove the causes of odours.

CQC Compliance

We support commercial organisations to conform to all of the requirements of the Care Quality Commission in particular standards including cleanliness, premises and infection control.

The Care Quality Commission has a long list of fundamental requirements regarding such things as premises and equipment, good governance, staffing, ensuring that fit and proper persons are employed (not just at worker level, but management level also), safeguarding service users from improper treatment, receiving and acting on complaints, and more.

Bio Analytics

While the methods to clean and sanitise surfaces and equipment in the healthcare environment vary, the need to measure the effectiveness of cleaning practices is universal. Care Managers need quick and actionable data to measure the performance of cleaning staff and ensure cleaning has been completed according to standards. Using complimentary data analysis software, we use ATP test results to troubleshoot problem areas in care homes, schools, dental and doctor surgeries and laboratories to evaluate cleaning methods and procedures, and make tangible improvements.
