General information

Forensic Video Services provide impartial expert evidence and reports in the fields of forensic imagery analysis, audio analysis and comparisons.

We offer facial and body mapping comparison, clothing and footwear comparison, weapon and vehicle analysis, photogrammetry (the scientific obtaining of height from photography), speed calculations as well as audio enhancement and restoration.

Founded in 1999, the company is made up of ex Armed Forces and former Police Officers and personnel. FVS have a combined experience stretching over 70 years in the field of visual and audio recording, enhancement, interpretation and comparative analysis. We have provided imagery analysis to Special Forces, the MoD, Police and Intelligence Services and conducted briefings to senior military and MoD officers. We have formulated the training syllabuses for CCTV recovery in Police forces across England and Wales. We have also written training manuals for the Royal Air Force, who provide the only UK-accredited Imagery Analysis course.

Our customer base includes solicitors and police forces throughout the UK, as well as government agencies including the Customs and Excise, Gangmasters Licencing Authority, The UK Borders Agency and The Crown Prosecution Service.

We have provided expert testimony in many courts across the country and overseas including: The Central Criminal Court, The Royal Courts of Justice and prosecurion courts in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

We are members of the Expert Witness Institute, the British Association for Human Identification (BAHId), the Forensic Imagery Analysis Group (FIAG) and the Institute of Videography (IOV).
