About Grafters Ironworks Gym

With over 5000ft² of ground floor gym zone, fully loaded with the latest technology, Grafters Ironworks Gym is definitely worth a visit.

The Gym is a family run, independently owned business developed by Andrew and Mandy Meanley, who have a keen career interest in health and fitness.

Unlike commercial gyms that specialise only in cardio, with just one lateral pull-down machine they chose an open plan area and divided this into specific training sections, with Leg, Back, Abs, Chest and Cardio areas. The gym caters for all types of athletes, including the competitive lifter, with access to over 4,500Ibs in plate weights alone, specialist bars, super heavy dumbbells, and many more pieces of other Olympic standard pro equipment. The Gymnasium benefits from air conditioning and its basement location. During the summer it is very cool and during the winter months the temperature is warm, unlike some factory unit based gyms.

A recent update and refurbishment included luxury Male and Female changing rooms, showers and secure lockers, showing continuous investment and improvement of the facilities.
There is a fully stocked trade-priced supplement counter, including protein and energy drinks, with staff on hand for guidance "at no extra charge".

Qualified staff are always available to help with training and nutritional advise, again "at no extra charge", and the patrons of the gym will always help you with your training as the gym is frequented by many well established body builders, personal trainers, world champion gold medal athletes, and British and world boxing champions.

Grafters Ironworks Gym is located at the imposing and historic Empress Building, with an unrivalled demographic reach located in the heart of Mexborough town centre, within easy reach of Swinton, Conisborough, Wath, Rawmash, Denaby, Manvers and close to many other parts of Rotherham and Doncaster.
