Three Shires Ltd deliver a broad yet integrated suite of fencing, ecological, Japanese knotweed, vegetation clearance and landscaping services; working with some of the country’s leading construction, civil engineering and house building companies, civil infrastructure planning and ecological consultancies, wildlife bodies and environmental agencies.

Our fencing services are delivered into every sector of the construction industry from highways and utilities to industrial, commercial, residential and school developments and include; palisade, paladin, chain link, welded mesh, residential and bow top railings, Armco barriers, highways sector scheme 2A, close board and all agricultural fencing.

Three Shires are lead partner of the award winning Herpetosure Group; the largest and leading national ecological contracting workforce in the UK and Construction News Specialist Awards finalists 2008, 2009 and 2010. In March the group were also announced as winners at the Sustain Magazine Awards 2009. Much of Three Shires ecological mitigation contracting involves the installation of Herpetosure’s patented newt fencing, reptile fencing, snake and water vole fencing as well as badger, otter and deer fencing. Three Shires also provide small and large scale habitat creation services including pond, badger sett and otter holt construction, bat and bird box erection as well as wetland, grassland and woodland habitat creation and translocation. In 2010 Three Shires installed over 80,000 metres of ecological fencing and the Herpetosure group nationally installed over 160,000 metres.

Our forestry work outside of the construction industry means that we can also provide high speed, cost effective site tree and vegetation clearance solutions to our construction and civil engineering clients using the plant and techniques used in our woodland harvesting operations.

Three Shires also provide site specific invasive weed solutions for the eradication and removal of Japanese knotweed, giant hogweed and Himalayan balsam, ragwort and aquatic invasives. Our expert invasive weed team has worked on some of the country’s most high profile projects, including leading the knotweed treatment programme on Stratford in preparation for an international event in 2012.
