General information

..Many many years ago,in 1964 to be exact,a slightly rebellious teen from cargo fleet pondered over which of lifes rocky paths to venture.On one hand he imagined a life of sex,drugs and rock n roll championed by the likes of Keith Richards/Moon only a few years before him,the other in which he would become one of the biggest hairdressing names of middlesbrough.
Luckily he decided to do both and Mike forbes Hairdressing was born.He would dominate the next three decades cutting his way through styles such as teds,mods,rockers,hippys and punks to name some,with a few famous faces along the way,the likes of Paul Rodgers of Free/The Mindbenders,poodle rock Whitesnake frontman Dave Coverdale,comedien Bob Mortimer and many of Middlesbrough football club.
After a short spell away from the scissors in the early 90s Mike decided to return to his roots(sorry) and this time focus on the terminally style retarded Redcar.Instantly raising the standard of hairdressing and lowering the stead hospital admissions Mike has become and continues to be a popular choice for the growing breed style savvy chaps.With the addition of golden boy son Ben who is scissor trained to a ninja level they have secured a sophisticated clientele for the future.
After rebranding we settled on the name AGENT ..A GENT if you like,would like to confirm a willingness to embrace cutting edge(again sorry) hairdressing as well as classic barbering techniques to give very precise and inovative styling.I must add Agent hairdressing is NOT a salon,we are a modern barber shop,old school but never old fashioned!!! Our ethos is to provide not only the highest level of hairdressing but a laidback and friendly atmosphere,somewhere you enjoy spending time in and taking getting a haircut from beeing a necessity to the highlight of your day.This year saw the opening of our wonderfull mexican garden perfect for al fresco chilling on summer days.We also have some exciting plans for the future so make sure you come visit us at AGENT and see for yourself.
