We offer design solutions to all of your commercial vehicle body needs, and welcome the opportunity to discuss projects with customers.

Specalist Builds:-
Our technical and design skills at Freightshield have won us contracts to design and build unique, specialised bodywork for mobile exhibition display vehicles and in the field of outside broadcast and hospitality units. Other specialities include cherry pickers, racing car transporters and show vehicles. These have included many features, such as:

air conditioning
hydraulically operated stages and canopies
mechanically operated awnings
spiral staircases

luxury seating and carpeted floors and walls.

Motorway Lighting Servicing Vehicle:-
This is a vehicle designed specially to allow Motorway maintenance crews to work safely, without the need to leave the vehicle at all while they are working. They can move from the cab to the working area without having to step out onto the road. It even includes an indoor tea-making facility!

Mobile Exhibition Display Vehicle:-
The DeWalt vehicle is a display vehicle, operated and deployed by a single driver, taking only 20 minutes from parking to be fully deployed. It carries a full range of DeWalt equipment securely housed inside the vehicle for use at trade fairs. The vehicle is fully automatic, and several have been built for the European market.

Racing Car Transporter:-
The car transporter vehicle designed and built by Freightshield for transporting prestige vehicles to shows and other events. The body of the vehicle is manipulated onto the ground to enable the car to be driven into the body before it is lifted back onto the truck.

GRP Box Body Vehicles:-
GRP and plywood are now some of today's most popular methods of constructing Box Van Bodies. This is because of the clean, uninterrupted lines, extra internal width facility, and very high strength of the material. Freightshield are particularly knowledgeable about this form of production using only the best quality panels and aluminium framing sections.

Aluminium Box Van Bodies:-
These are an important part of the company's production and great emphasis is placed on the quality of their construction. Unlike most manufacturers, solid rather than hollow rivets are always used to secure the cladding to the framework, and are guaranteed for the life of the vehicle.

Curtainsiders:-
Side Access Vehicles feature prominently among the products manufactured and these are specified by many major companies.

From total rebuilds to replacement headlights, Freightshield's highly trained and qualified staff are always on hand to take care of your body, no matter what it needs.
Our Thatcham Workshop near Newbury is a "one stop shop" for HGV repairs and ancillary equipment, so we can save you valuable time on servicing and repairs for your vehicle as you only need take it to one site.

Tail lifts:-
How good is your truck without its taillift? Is your taillift legal? It makes sense to keep it serviced and tested so that you don't let your customers down, and Freightshield are the experts in servicing, weight testing and LOLER testing.
The LOLER regulations impose a requirement on vehicle owners to ensure that lifting equipment is safe, well-maintained, mechanically sound and properly maintained. At Freightshield we have a number of LOLER-trained engineers, and are well-placed to ensure that our customers' vehicles comply with the regulations.
