Northampton & County Club

General information

The Northampton and County Club is a club for members and their guests in the heart of Northampton. Its historic building is an excellent venue for a variety of functions such as private parties, charity events, weddings receptions, meetings and seminars, working lunches and breakfasts as well as private dining.

The Club is housed in a beautiful Grade 2* Listed building in George Row, opposite All Saints Church. The elegant, regency-style dining room offers superb cuisine with an imaginative range of dishes prepared from high quality fresh ingredients. The tastefully decorated Fountain Room is available for a wide range of functions. There is a members’ bar, a delightful garden and a private car park from Angel Street.

Established in 1873, the Club has played a prominent role in the business and social life of the town and county. It is open to both men and women and offers comfortable surroundings, welcoming and attentive service and traditional values.

Dining Room
The main dining room with its elegant, traditional décor, seats a maximum of 50 people in comfortable surroundings. The club is renowned for its fine dining and excellent wine cellar. Sample menus are available and the chef will be pleased to discuss your requirements with you for private bookings.

The dining room is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10.30 am to 3.00 pm and in the evenings by prior arrangement. It is available for private functions. Regular Sunday lunches are advertised to members. Gentlemen are kindly asked to wear a jacket in the dining room.

Members’ Bar
Situated between the entrance hall and the Fountain Room, the members’ bar offers freshly made sandwiches and bar snacks as well as reasonably priced wines, coffee and soft drinks.

Billiards and Snooker Room
A fine Victorian billiards and snooker room with three full size Burroughs & Watts snooker tables manufactured sometime towards the end of the 19th century is situated on the first floor. This room is comfortably furnished and has an adjoining bar.
