- Motability -

The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to use their government-funded mobility allowance to lease a new car, scooter or powered wheelchair. In fact, since the Scheme was set up in 1978, Motability has helped over 3 million people get mobile with a new vehicle.
The Motability Scheme is directed and overseen by Motability, a national charity that also raises funds and provides financial assistance to customers who would otherwise be unable to afford the mobility solution they need.
Motability Operations is a not-for-profit company responsible for the finance, administration and maintenance of Motability cars, scooters and powered wheelchairs.

Customers who are eligible will receive a worry free package including:
* A brand new car, powered wheelchair or scooter every three years, or Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) every five years
* Insurance for two named drivers
* Servicing and maintenance
* Full breakdown assistance
* Annual vehicle tax
* Replacement tyres (and batteries for scooters and wheelchairs)
* Windscreen repair or replacement
* 60,000 mileage allowance over three years for cars; 100,000 for WAVs
* Many adaptations at no extra cost
* Over 10 Manufacturers participate in the scheme so you can be sure to find a suitable vehicle.

- Vehicle Adaptations -

As a premier accredited adaptation partner of Motability Operations, we work closely with the dealership to ensure they receive first class customer service which in turn makes your buying experience efficient and worry free.

Adapted driving controls can make a big difference to your motoring experience. These adaptations allow a person to drive where it would otherwise not be possible. These can vary from simple attachments which can be bolted onto your car, or replacing all existing driving controls, with a system individually designed for you.
Driving controls help with speed control, steering and signalling and In most cases the original car’s controls and features can still be used, which works well if you have an additional driver. However, it’s important to bear in mind that most driving controls require an automatic gearbox.

We stock only the highest quality products from the most respected manufacturers and all our installations are supported by a team of fully manufacturer trained engineers. Each adaption is fitted to the highest standard and fully approved by our quality control team.

- Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles -

WAVS-R-US are wheelchair accessible vehicle specialists dedicated to providing high quality and reliable WAVs. A sister company of Ransome Mobility offering over 30 years of Mobility expertise, our experience ensures that we match every customer with the right vehicle for their individual needs.

We have access to an exclusive range of wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAVs) not available anywhere else, with new stock being added all the time. Every vehicle we stock is carefully checked by our own engineers and mechanics, and supported with a full warranty and aftersales support. We even offer on-going WAV servicing to ensure your vehicle remains in great condition. We specialise in ex-Motability vehicles so the majority of our stock is very low mileage and within 5 years old with one previous owner.

Alongside WAV sales, WAVS-R-US offer a range of supporting services to help all WAV drivers to get mobile. This includes financing options through WAV specialist Southern Finance, insurance through WAV specialists Fish Insurance, and part-exchange on your existing vehicle – even if it is not wheelchair accessible. As a Motability Accredited Installer we can also make any further vehicle adaptations necessary to keep you mobile.
