At Sharpham Park we grow and mill organic spelt on our 300 acre farm on the Somerset Levels. We make flour in the traditional way by stone grinding it to protect the germ oils. We also make cereal, grain and pearled spelt, a delicious alternative to rice. Spelt is an ancient grain which is a delicious alternative to conventional wheat. The grain has a unique gluten structure and our customers tell us that they find it easier to digest than modern wheat. It's highly nutritious, high in fibre and a tasty source of slow release energy, popular with athletes and explorers.
