Design Holidays have vast experience in Luxury Family Holidays. Since our incorporation in 1994 by our vibrant directors Johnny Barr & Paul Killick, we are widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading Holiday travel companies for Family resort and villa holidays. Our main family resorts include amongst others – La Manga Club in South East Spain, Quinta do Lago / Martinhal / Vale do Lobo / Vila Vita / Abama , Sani Beach, Sheraton Pine Cliffs in the Algarve, to the award winning Forte Village in Sardinia .

At the recent Abama Hotel Awards Design Holidays were given a top prize , again further enhancing our reputation as an award winning luxury Family Friendly Travel company.

We are members of ABTA under membership numbers Y6139 (direct) and P6655 (agents). We are obliged to maintain a high standard of service to you by ABTA’s Code of Conduct. We are also members of the Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited (ABTOT) and have provided a bond to meet the requirements of the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992. Our ABTOT number is 5280. Design Holidays also act as agents for ATOL holders and all flight-inclusive holidays are financially protected by the ATOL scheme as administered by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Bookings can be taken by credit card either online or via telephone. Travel Industry Advice ‘Never book with any company or ‘private villa owner’ that does not allow you to pay via credit card, thus guarantee your money’.

Booking with an ABTA Member gives you peace of mind because we are committed to following a strict code of conduct, which means you will receive a high standard of service, fair terms of trading and accurate information. ABTA Members offer financial protection schemes and can advise you on how to financially protect all of your travel arrangements

We have provided a bond to meet the requirements of the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992

ATOL (Air Travel Organisers’ Licensing) – exists to protect the public from losing money or being stranded abroad because of the failure of air travel firms. It was first introduced in 1972 and it gives comprehensive consumer protection to 28 million people in the UK who buy flights or air holidays each year.

ABTOI (Association of British Tour Operators to Italy)

Design Holidays are also members of ABTOI and have been vetted and accredited by the South African , Spanish , Italian and Portuguese Tourist Offices respectively.

Design with the environment in mind

Over the years the staff and board of directors of Design Holidays have become ever increasingly worried about the eco friendliness of companies like ours in today’s modern world.

Where possible we are making every effort to re use items in all of our offices all paper supplies, in order to reduce our eco wastage along with all print cartridges. All ‘out dated technology’ including computers / mobile phones are recycled to third world countries.

Together we can help lessen the effect on our environment.

Design Holidays are pleased to announce another fantastic year for David Lloyd Raynes Park Aegon men’s national league tennis team at the Aegon Team Tennis Finals. ‘Having extended our existing sponsorship agreement from 2001, we have seen a fantastic improvement from regional underachievers to national Aegon Team Tennis Champions in 2 out of the last 3 years, says Johnny Barr Director of Design Holidays & David Lloyd Raynes Park player captain.

Each year we add to our squad bringing in world class tennis talent and this year is no exception with our squad of : Lee Childs, Tom Burn, Colin Beecher, David Rice , James Marselak , Jamie Feaver, Neil Bamford, Matt Leahy, James Lloyd , Tim Patient and player captain Johnny Barr. New players for 2013 included ex Top Australian #1 Junior Lachlan Ferguson and top UK ranked player Lewis Burton.

Design Holidays are also proud to support the Desborough Cup ,which is an exclusive annual invitational golf day founded by the late Lord Desborough in 1913 for tennis players of International / County & Club level – traditionally held at the best golf courses at preferential rates. Design Holidays involvement in tennis also extends to us supporting UK tennis talent, by helping to fund raise for Tennis First. The Design group of companies are pleased to announce their sponsorship of a Bavaria 36 racing yacht named “Cygnus” in all the regattas of the Mar Menor / La Manga and Mediterranean coast of Murcia for this Summer season.

Cygnus under the Design Holidays livery will also race in all Alicante regattas, and the world famous Cartagena – Ibiza !
