General information

The Baynes family have been milking pedigree Dairy Shorthorns and Ayrshire cows since 1932. In 2005 we began to pasteurise and bottle some of the milk and cream from the 130 cow herd, seeing the demand in high quality locally produced farm produce - this is particularly relevant in the ever decreasing sector of dairy farming in the North East.
We currently are the only producer/processor from Berwick to Darlington.
Since then the business has continued to go from strength to strength and now supply a range of businesses with our herds highly sort after and exquisite tasting fresh milk and cream right across the region.
The Marleycote Herd is highly regarded on a national and international stage and has won many awards for our cows.
Recently moving into new accommodation incorporating state of the art robotic milking and a viewing gallery, allows visiters to see the high welfare standards and freedom which we desire for our cows.
Helping people to understand how milk gets from the cow to your table while allowing you to experience how good milk can taste is what we at Northumbrian Pedigree are all about.
