Fishing has been a popular pastime and sport that able bodied and disabled people alike have taken an interest in for many years; however there is no comprehensive directory of disabled member clubs or those who specifically cater for the needs of disabled people here in the UK.
At The Woodlands Fisheries and Cafe on the A159, Scotter Common, near Gainsborough, we not only cater for disabled anglers with FULL wheelchair access and disabled parking, but both our lakes have been designed and built by our proprietor Mr Paul Bailey who is a disabled person himself and is used largely by able bodied clients.
Historically a keen angler will gather support from other like minded people and those with a disability would normally form a disabled angling club in their area of the UK, we would just like everyone to know whether you are disabled or not, we have been here for 16 years and we are still opened for business...
