Money Advice Scotland (MAS) is the national umbrella organisation which promotes the development of free, independent, impartial, confidential money (debt) advice and financial inclusion. The organisation is a registered charity, with clear charitable objectives.
Established in 1989, by a grant by the then Scottish Consumer Council, now Consumer Focus Scotland, this laid down the foundation for an organisation which is well known in Scotland, and beyond.
About Financial Capability
As stated in Money Advice Scotland’s Strategic Plan for 2015 – 2018, we believe that when it comes to addressing Scotland’s financial well-being, prevention is better than cure. Our goal is to radically improve the financial health and well being of the people of Scotland, and it is this goal which has played a pivotal role of our Financial Capability Team. They deliver workshops to organisations, financial education to school and you can access the online e-Learning module through this team.
