Jim Light designs and makes a range of wooden & acrylic jewellery, including earrings ( earwires and ear studs ) bangles, rings, pendants and necklaces. He does woodturning, woodcarving and pyrography. Jim's items make great gifts and special presents. The woods he uses include tulipwood, yew, holly, oak, laburnum, boxwood, purpleheart, ash, elm etc. Not many craftsman or artisans are mixing wood and silver, or acrylic and silver in the way Jim does. He makes 1/12th scale, and even some 1/24th scale miniatures for dolls house collectors, wooden bowls, wooden spoons, breadboards, goblets, plates and vases are just some of the unique and different hand made items. All turned items are made on a lathe by the maker. Silver used is sterling silver and silver plated. Wooden boxes and novelties are also produced.
