Aardvark Hire Ltd is a local company based in Exeter, which has been operating for the last 25 years and has grown from a family run business to a well respected and professional industry leader. Our staff have many years of expertise and knowledge within the plant hire and haulage industry. We aim to maintain the highest levels of professionalism and customer satisfaction to ensure our ever growing reputation is our number one priority.

Aardvark Hire Ltd offer the following services:

Brand new 20t Hyundai Excavator

All our operatives are extremely experienced and either CPCS or NPORS qualified.

In keeping with our environmental policy and our close working relationships with the environment agency and local authorities, we have excavators which are specially fitted with bio-degradable oil for working within water courses.

Plant Haulage

We have a range of low loaders which vary from 44ton to 80ton tractor units. These can be accompanied by three or four-axle stepframe trailers to ensure that the correct setup is used to meet our customers requirements. Our trailers also have winches fitted which can help to recover any broken down or immobile plant.

Our six-wheeled beavertail lorry offers our customers the flexibility to access sites which are not always suitable for a low loader and also reduces the cost element when only delivering small plant to site.

Military Transport

We have recently been awarded contracts for the movement of MOD equipment between various bases across the U.K. These movements are based on strict deadlines which have no room for error and require the upmost care and attention to ensure the timescales are met.

Oversized Loads

XL Planthire are experts in transporting oversized loads and have extensive experience in this field. We can ensure a safe and problem free plant haulage service and will take care of any wide load pilot vehicles, notifications and permits that are required to ensure that the transportation goes as smoothly as possible.

Agricultural Division

Due to the growing demand in agriculture haulage we have recently setup a seperate division which specialise in the transportation of agricultural machinery from one of the countries leading Claas dealerships. This is accompanied by the large demands for exportation of this machinery to various docks across the U.K. This division is going from strength to strength having also aquired the haulage services for some of the leading agricultural contractors in the south west.
