Based in Derby, we’re an independent insurance broker providing insurance and related services to companies across the UK.

Whilst we’re a progressive company that makes full use of the latest technology and working practices, we also have some very traditional ideas about what makes great service.

We understand your business is unique and you may not want to deal with call centres or arrange vitally important protection for your business online.

That’s why we offer a much more personal service by giving you a dedicated Client Manager who you will see face to face and who will remain your single point of contact for all your dealings with us.

We know we can’t be specialists at everything. So in order to meet all our clients requirements to highest standard possible, we partner with select companies who are specialists in their own fields of expertise. Our partners include Health and Safety Consultants, Risk Management Consultants and Loss/Uninsured Loss Recovery specialists.

Simon brings a wealth of experience to Lighthouse having spent 25 years working for some of the world’s largest insurance companies and brokers, including AXA and Aon.

He is now enjoying the new challenge of bringing all the benefits associated with a global company to Lighthouse, whilst retaining the personal and dedicated service that is so often missing.

Away from work Simon enjoys spending time outdoors, especially walking or cycling in the Peak District with his wife Sally and five year old son Ted.

His favourite destination is Cornwall where he and Ted can often be found on the beach staring into rock pools or trying to build impossibly complex sandcastles!

Why did we call the company Lighthouse?

Well, you’ve probably already figured it out, but we’ll tell you anyway!

Lighthouses are used to identify hazards and areas of danger. They also mark areas of safe passage for maritime pilots. We believe this is exactly what we do, except we do it for you and your business.
