Founded in 2002, Impact is a spin-out from BP Chemicals. Many of its team have over 30 years' experience and know-how and all of its experts are highly qualified both technically and commercially.

Impact is based at Grangemouth, UK which is the main processing, refining and petrochemicals centre for North Sea Oil & Gas operations. Our UKAS laboratory handles all high risk plastics products for EU testing and certification.

Impact prides itself not just on being able to test materials, but advise and help you to improve your materials and products. We also undertake many research products to develop new and improved polymers.

In Petrochemicals, our team adds value in assisting our clients reach and sustain the highest standards of operational excellence. We are also now active in upstream Oil & Gas areas.

In Software Solutions, Impact has a team dedicated to developing novel software to deliver cost-effective, high quality plant and laboratory performance.

In Organisation & Training, the team focuses on getting the best out of the organisation through effective changes in how people work together and develop skills and behaviours to attain and sustain higher operational performance.

In R&D & QC Labs, the focus is on designing and building new laboratories for clients to support world-class R&D and QC effort, including organisation design and training to meet quality, service and regulatory standards for technical competence and HSE.

In Plastics, our UKAS accredited experts undertake material & product approval testing and process & product development projects in many high risk supply chains areas including containers, pipes and tanks.

As Expert Witnesses, our staff use their extensive understanding of material problems and our accredited laboratory services to provide expert evidence and determine the root cause of clients problems.
