General information
EDA is an all-volunteer charity currently working in Lebanon,Kurdestan,Gaza, Kenya, Bosnia and Pakistan-controlled Kashmir. In Lebanon we work in the border town of Arsal where there are 60,000 Syrian refuees. We run a centre for sewing, weaving, other crafts and IT, default training and health education. We have built a number of schools, and regularly send containers of clothes, shoes, school consumables and other needs.
In Gaza we are working with experts from Edinburgh and other universties to train doctors and nurses in palliative care.
Our sister charity, the Christine Witcutt Fund, cares for children with disabilities in Bosnia.
EDA's mission is to deliver aid in person to people in need as a result of earthquake, floods, or man's injustice to man.
