The business was re-branded as DJ Property in late 2003 when David passed the management of the business to Mickey Jones, one of his three sons.

Mickey has managed the family business started by his father David since 2003. Mickey’s background is primarily in finance, having held positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Grant Thornton, where he specialised in corporate finance.

Prior to joining DJ Property, Mickey served as Chief Financial Officer of elata, a developer of mobile software solutions for the global wireless market. elata enjoyed rapid growth and success, and was subsequently sold to Nasdaq-listed QUALCOMM for $57m.

Mickey has moved the business into the 21st century, fully embracing all aspects of technology to the advantage of the business and its customers. He has set himself challenging targets to continue to grow the business and improve its efficiency at the same time.

These targets have led to a busy development programme which includes both the development of new sites and the redevelopment of older properties within the DJ Property portfolio. Through Mickey’s direction and with support from our professional team, DJ Property will maintain its leading position in the South Dorset commercial property market.
